The fourth and seventh of the above, by Dr. Leo Bartemeier and Dr. Jules Masserman respectively, are thought provoking and profound, and Dr. Spiegler's account of reactions to catastrophe helpful to the individual and perhaps to the international statesman. The others appear somewhat superficial and obvious, but it is of course unfair to judge these essays in the written form; their value will have lain in the discussion they provoked. R. F. Tredgold.
